Dougherty House in National Magazine!
August 3rd found the creative team of Art Director, Sandra Salamony and Photographer, Michael Poehlman of the Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine showcasing the Dougherty House for the upcoming December issue. The how to magazine includes photos, directions and patterns for quilts and other needlework projects.
You’ll find parts of the House, summer kitchen and carriage shed highlighted in the issue that hits newsstands in October 27th, if you aren’t a subscriber. Find out more about the sister owned magazine at primitivequiltsandprojects.com and @PrimitiveQuiltsMagazine. The photos below were taken by a Dougherty House volunteer by cell phone to give a taste of what is coming. Michael Poehlman’s photos will transport you to another time thanks to Sandra’s staging. You don’t have to wait for the magazine to experience the history of the Peter Dougherty House. Visit it today at 18459 Mission Road in Old Mission, MI. Walk the trails, see the garden, peek in the windows and relax surrounded by Old Mission Peninsula History on one of the front porch benches. |
